Walking meditation

I never knew that you could meditate standing up. I was reading some meditation how to materials and it turns out that sitting is only one, be it a very basic and traditional, form of meditation. When one is sitting, the body is completely tranquil, except for the breath. According to this meditation how to material, this is a good way to begin because there is little distraction for beginners.

There is also walking meditation. And this reminds me of my Grandfather and his generation, who used to put great value in the afternoon stroll. It was then and during that time, which you could really “work things out.”
