They’ve Never Gone to Public School
I have five children, ages ten months to twelve years, and not a single one of them have ever set foot in a public school. They are, however, not uneducated. They have gone to Home School, and they are all incredibly smart. They read well above their grade level, and the older two spell almost as well as college students. They can do any math problem you set in front of them, and they know our history inside and out. They are not socially inept, either. Not only do they relate well to kids their own age, but they can have an intelligent conversation with any adult. So much for homeschoolers being “social misfits!”
